Nikolas Taverna Agni Bay

If you call to book a table Yorgos can pick you up from the jetty and drop you back afterwards.  Alternatively go down to Yialiskari Bay and walk round to Agni on the coastal path.  If you walk across the rocks at the end of the bay you will see the path at the top of the rocks just round the headland.

Kouloura

Taverna Kouloura (0030 2663 091253).

The only taverna in the bay of Kouloura and is our favourite for lunch!  Nestling to the side of the beautiful 15th century house at Kouloura, set against the quaint little harbour of Kouloura which featured in “The Durrells” TV series, this little fish taverna offers a quintessentially Corfiot lunch experience: laid back, friendly service and good food especially the sardines and fried courgettes.  Although accessible by road from Kalami, the moderately adventurous arrive by boat and moor up against on the the two jetties.  Best to book during July and August given the small number of covers.

Kouloura is not marked on many maps, but it is to the north of Kalami. If you drive or walk through Kalami going north you come to a very bumpy section of road which turns sharp left. The road divides round the corner and Kouloura is the lower of the two roads. Kouloura harbour

Kerasia

Taverna Kerasia  +30 26630 81 521

This old fish taverna sits at the end of white pebbled Kerasia Bay on the corner of one of the lovely ‘Rothschild’ headlands; the owner Pedro offers friendly service and reasonable food; ask to see the day’s fish catch.  Enjoy the local spectator sport of inebriated holidaymakers trying to embark on their rental boats on the jetty.  As participants it can also be fun.  The journey by road involves a hot 15 minute drive via St Stephano, by sea a refreshing 5 minutes.
